The human element poses the most significant risk to any system or solution. The Beacon team has implemented a comprehensive personnel security program that focuses on reducing risks and increasing security awareness across the team.

Awareness Training Program

All Beacon staff is required to go through regular (at minimum, annually) Security Awareness Training. This training guides all staff through secure operations, including (but not limited to):

  • Cybersecurity Basics

  • Regulatory Compliance Programs

  • Account Security / Cyber Hygiene / Operational Best Practices

  • Cyber Threats

  • Breach Management / Incident Response Basics

  • Online Security Best Practices

Some organizational roles may require expanded cybersecurity training. This cohort is provided expanded training to support their enhanced privileges. The goal is ensuring these individuals understand key risks and best practices for secure operation within their expanded roles.

Background Checks

All staff are subject to pre-employment background verification checks in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual requirements prior to employment offer and subsequent access to Beacon data or systems. Background checks may vary based on the sensitivity of the role and data. This process includes signature acknowledgement of the employment terms and conditions prior to completing this process.
